수동태 만드는 법

 

1. 능동태와 수동태

주어가 어떤 행동의 주체자(행위자)면능동태로, 동작의 영향을 받는 대상이면 수동태로 나타냅니다.

 

능동태: My father [행위자] built this house.

수동태: This house [대상] was built by my father.

2. 동사의 형태

수동태는 [be + 과거분사]의 형태로 나타냅니다.

 

My father built this house.

 

This house was built [be+과거분사]by my father.

 

3. 목적어의

능동태가 수동태로 전환되면 능동태의 목적어는 수동태의 주어 자리로 이동합니다.

 

My father built this house. [목적어]

 

This house               was built           by my father

[능동태의 목적어]  be + 과거분사  by[by [능동태의 주어]

 

4. 평서문의 수동태 

능동태를 수동태로 전환할 수 있는 문장은 목적어가 있는 3 형식, 4 형식, 5 형식 문장이 가능합니다. 목적어가 없는 동사는 수동태로 전환될 수 없습니다.

 

목적어가 한 개인 경우

 

[능동태] The manager accepted her proposal.

[수동태] Her proposal was accepted by the manager.

 

[능동태] James cleaned the refrigerator

[수동태] The refrigerator was cleaned by James

 

목적어가 두 개인 경우

 

[능동태] Ellie offered me[간접목적어] some exciting working [직접목적어].

[수동태]   I was offered some exciting work by Ellie.

              Some exciting working was offered (to) me by Ellie.

 

[능동태] Paul taught me [간접목적어] English grammar [직접목적어]

[수동태] I was taught the English grammar by Paul.

             The English grammar was taught (to) me by Paul.

 

목적어와 보어가 있는 경우

 

목적어와 보어가 있는 경우 수동태로 전환하면 목적어만 수동태 문장의 주어자리로 이동합니다.

 

[능동태] They elected Julie[목적어] chairperson[chairperson [목적격 보어].

[수동태] Julie was elected chairperson by them

 

[능동태]The movie made the actor[목적어] popular[목적격 보어].

[수동태] The actor was made popular by the movie.

 

5. 부정문의 수동태

부정문의 수동태는 「be동사＋not+과거분사」로 나타냅니다.

 

He did not write this novel.

→ This novel was not written by him.

 

My son didn’t break this toy.

→ This toy was not broken by my son.

 

We didn't move this box.

→ This box was not moved by us.
